Yahya AlOfairi, born in 1976 in Bani Ofair, Yemen, has farmed coffee since age 15 alongside his father. Today, he runs the family farm with help from his wife and six children. Bani Ofair’s high elevation and unique microclimate yield rich, complex coffees, though farmers face challenges like pests, water scarcity, and floods. Farming here is a community effort, with neighbours tasting and improving each other's harvests. For the past seven years, we've partnered with Yahya and others to build water reservoirs, improve irrigation, and introduce resilient seedlings—supporting both quality and sustainability for future generations.
