Hojicha is green tea's roasted, darker sibling.

Japanese leaves and stems, toasted slowly at high heat until the grassy notes turn into something warmer. Caramel, earthy, with enough depth to sit properly under milk rather than disappear into it.

Roasting also takes the caffeine right down, which makes it the one you can drink after dinner. Works as a latte, brewed straight, or folded into baking.
