Kenya AA Runtego

Rungeto Farmers’ Cooperative Society was formed from the merger of Kiangoi, Karimikui, and Kii factories after the liquidation of Ngiriama Cooperative. Its members grow coffee on the slopes of Mount Kenya, a region—alongside Nyeri—known for intense, complex, high-quality coffees.

Kii Factory, one of three wet mills in Rungeto FCS, is based in Kirinyaga. Fairtrade-certified and quality-driven, the cooperative has upgraded processing with tiled fermentation tanks, improved washing channels, and responsible water reuse.
